Home Store Furnishings to close permanently after a decade of service
Independent furniture retailer going out of business and begins total liquidation

STARKVILLE, Miss. (July 12, 2024) — Home Store Furnishings is going out of business after serving Starkville and surrounding communities with high-quality home furnishings for the past 10 years. The independent retailer began final liquidation July 11.

George Keenan, an expert in the furniture business, has owned Home Store Furnishings for the past decade. Under his leadership, the store became a popular one- stop shop for whole home furnishings and is widely known for providing exceptional customer service and carrying an impressive variety of quality furniture and mattresses.

"It has been an honor to serve this wonderful community and I am profoundly grateful for their support throughout the years,” said Keenan. “I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to our dedicated staff, whose hard work, passion, and commitment have been the backbone of our store."

Home Store Furnishings is located at 311 Hwy 12 West next to Umi’s Japanese restaurant and Lost Pizza. During its final liquidation sale, the store will offer deep discounts on all inventory including up to 50% off all accessories, wall art, and rugs. Famous name brands across the 14,000-square-foot store include Ashley, Benchcraft, Howard Miller, Lane, Southern Motion, Southerland, Stearns & Foster, and Tempur- pedic. All purchases are eligible for convenient pick-up or delivery service and the store will honor all orders already placed.

Store hours have been expanded during the final sale and Home Store Furnishings is now open Monday through Saturday from 10am -7pm and Sunday from 12-5pm. Management encourages early shopping for best selection. For more information on the going-out-of-business sale, visit www.myhomestorefurnishings.com.
